I been playin Secondlife now for a year or so...
I have a shop & some land*laughs well I rent land,
but would like to owned some in the future.
When I first started out in SecondLife I was totally over whelmed..
But on my first night in game,I saw a huge yellow dragon,
yelling to my hubby to come see"Puff the Magic Dragon" ...
hubby though I had lost my mind,but right then I knew I was hook
Then I found out you could fly*laughs well that sealed the deal ;P
I spent at least 2 months just roaming around looking at stuff.
Wanting to buy all of it*laughs
SecondLife is amazing beyond any other 3-d I had been in,and I have been in a few.
So one day on my travels ,
I happen luckily to bump into a very wonderful lady named Malora Perun.
At this point I was out of money and could no longer pick the "money tree's", and was getting frustrated with not knowing how to do anything & how to get money to spend in game.
then Mal helped me out,gave me some money,clothes and lots of other things.
She told all me the ways one could make money,helped me get dressed,
(when Mal first saw me,I was a multi-colored bug eyed freak*laughs).
She help me get some new clothes,shoes,all the basics*ty so much Mal.
You know I love You & indebted to You forever*smiles*.
So I discovered camping & dance pads,so I camp & danced like crazy,for days on end.
Back then You could get some good money doin that...but havin a plan I didnt go on wild spending sprees(not yet anyways*laughs)...
I reinvested my money in making Clothes.
I had some knowledge of PSP 8,
I had read most everything in the SecondLife Forums, and any other sites I could find.
After a few weeks I showed Mal & She told me that I could put some of the outfits I made in her Shop. I was on my way to becoming a clothes designer.
I sold lots of outfits for $100-$150 each, made some money for shoppin & made some great freinds back then..but I had to take time off for RL work,so SL was put on the back burner for about 4 -5 months(seasonal work sucks*).
When I came back, WOW they had flexi and I was in love with SL all over again*smiles*
Again so much had changed I decided that I would head out on my own with my own shop.
I didnt want to be a burden for anyone,especially to my freind Mal.
Since she had help me so much already.
I aimed at doin on my own,so back to camping for a month.
I managed to get a small stall and decided that since I had found it hard not havin the bucks to spend in SL that I would make my stuff cheap.
Now I know I'm not the best designer in SL,I'm not even in the top 50,but I do make some nice stuff & Getting better all the time I think*smiles*
*laughs* doesnt hurt that its only $25 an outfit no matter the number of pc's in the set
& problee some of the best cheap clothes You gonna find.
Anyways,
First I rented a small stall to sell my outfits,them every couple weeks I upped the size.
I figured out how to use venders*laughs...well I realised pretty quick I needed a place.
I found one that allowed 200 prim really cheap soI set up shop there ..must of been for 2 months or so,but no auto-return on the land was a pain,ppl greifting and leavin stuff.
I had lindends made I could find something better. So I rented a place of land and got a shop.
I was really nerous & still am,but I seems to be doing ok,so far.
Now I have a pretty good size place with a 150 -200 outfits,
lots of traffic,& a good sized group.
Lots of ppl ask how come my outfits are cheap?
I tell them that when your starting out in SL and
You dont always have the RL funds to buy stuff in game.
You get pretty tight in how you spend you hard earn Lindens,
So I basically make enough money now to cover my uploads & Rent.
but thats ok with me, on a good week I can get some hair or shoes*laughs so I'm Happy :)
I pass out free stuff all the time,I have freebies in my shop,a lucky chair,I have a money tree,and lots of free outfits for my group.
I want help others enjoy SL and hopefully help decide to stay in Game.
the the growth of SL lately WOW,lots of newbies *smiles*I wanna help them stay in game!
